Smart Look kills the document download (But Very Gently)

Smart Look

The days of downloading documents are over!
Smart Look by Issuu, automatically replaces all the documents on your website with beautiful online publications!

I'm using Issuu.com almost the last 2 years and I found it very usefull, specially for demostration of my magazines.

It takes just a few minutes to set up, it's completely harmless and makes your documents looks great.

Let's see how it works:
1. Create an account at Issuu.com
2. Enter your domain here. This will enable Smart Look for all documents in your site.
3. get the code
4. Paste the code that generated into your html pages, just above the last /body tag.
Save your pages, and it's done!

Next time someone clicks a link to download a document, Issuu.com will import a copy to your Issuu account. The second time the link is clicked, it will open an online Issuu publication directly on your webpage
[so the first click has to be by you ;-)

Your website's visitors can still download if they want, and you don't have to change a thing in your workflow. No need to upload and embed all those documents if they're already online.

You can only use Smart Look with one domain per Issuu account, so I'm waiting to see more options for the Pro accounts ;-)

[supported file formats: PDF, DOC, PPT]

Nice app, really!

Productivity on your wall: GTD wallpaper v3

GTD wallpaper

Before 2 years, I made the 1st ever GTD wallpaper, using an unusual technique combining some of MindManager's and Photoshop's features.
That was followed by the version 2, which was a real success [more than 280.000 downloads and counting]

And now the sequel just hit the web :-)
Using some great Photoshop brushes, which I found all over the web, I present you the version 3, of my Getting Things Done wallpaper.
Useful for the new GTD fans, but I feel that GTDers like ...me, will give it a try ;-)

Now you’ll always know what to do next!

3:4 and wide screen versions are included
Free to use.

5 wallpapers using the full text of Barack Obama's victory speech

Barack Obama wallpaper

Probably you know it: I like to create and use my own wallpapers.
So this time I want to share with you my latest 5 wallpapers creation inspired by the last night Barack Obama's victory speech in Chicago.
I used the full text of Barack Obama's victory speech and a great photo as the base canvas, together with one of my ascii-art algorithms and the Wordle's cloud creator for the text clouds.
Enjoy the change :-) [read more]
