Guy Kawasaki

6 Cloudy wallpapers

Stefanos Karagos | July 28, 2008

Just before my summer vacations, I created 6 wallpapers [all at 1600x1200] using Wordle's cloud creator and some Photoshoping ;-)
GTD Jason Calacanis
John F. Kennedy Guy Kawasaki
Karagos at Diigo Barak Obama

Each of these walls has its own story:
1. Created using Wikipedia's article about the Getting Things Done system
2. Created using the text of the latest Jason Calacanis's newsletter [the 2nd after his desicion to close his blog]
3. Created using the text of John F. Kennedy's speech, well known as "Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You"
4. Created using text from Guy Kawasaki's CV at Visualcv.com
6. Created using the tags of my latest Diigo links
5. Created using Barak Obama's latest speech in Berlin.

It's very interesting to see not only the words but also the shape of each cloud...
Enjoy!

Re-read a book in less than 15 minutes.

I have used this method since I was a University student:
The same time I'm reading a book I'm taking notes in a mindmap following the next rules:

1. Write the book's title in the center of mindmap
2. Create a branch with book's general info [Writer, Publishing House etc]
3. For each book's chapter create a different branch using its title
4. For each chapter's branch write sub-chapters titles
5. If there are any important info you have to remember, just put it on the appropriate branch.

Could you imagine what will happen the next time you will review the mindmap?
NO?
OK. Do you ever have read Guy Kawasaki's great book "The Art of the Start" [~220 pages]?
If yes then take a look in this mindmap [PDF] and will feel the "deja vu" effect as never before...

Thats all folks ;-)
