mGTD2: GTD for Moleskine v2.0

Stefanos Karagos | November 11, 2007

Trying to integrate the GTD method into my Moleskine planner, I designed one year ago, a "GTD" A5-sized sheet which helped me on my daily efforts to apply the GTD procedure.

The idea behind was, that if the Moleskine planner itself, is the
"basket" where we collect the everyday "stuff", then the only thing we
need is to have an easy reachable place for the lists of: Actions,
Waiting for and Someday/Maybe entries
.

After some weeks that the first beta version was out, I released the
version 1.0, and the name of this handfull paper tool became mGTD.

Well, after many months, I designed the new version of mGTD, [mGTD2], and I have to admit that is more useful than ever.

The improvements from the version 1.0 are:
1. Rounded corners! [yes we all love these ;-)
2. Now you can choose between an actions list sheet that includes
"Waiting for" and "Some Day- Maybe" fields or a new version with two
sheets [one with actions list and another one with "Waiting for" and
"Some Day- Maybe" lists ]
3. Now we have 3 different color versions: Red, Green, Blue [Orange
was abandoned]
5. Each page has crop marks for easy cutting
6. Each version has the main mGTD page and also 3 more back-page options:
a. a daily scheduler,
b. a contact names page and
c. a new design as a mindmaping playground!

If you want to have an idea about the mGTD system, take a look at the
following images:

And if you are ready to use the mGTD2 system here are the PDF files, ready for printing:
PDFs: Red | Green | Blue

But now mGTD has a pocket version!
Take a look at the bellow images and if you use a pocked size
Moleskine, you just found your best GTD helper!
[Print it into an A4 paper and fold it!]

PDFs: Red | Green | Blue

UPDATE:

A new modified blue pocket version just uploaded, here.

Stay tuned!

So now, you can have the mGTD version which fits better
to your daily needs ;-)

PS: Special thanks to Diana for her help to the design of the mGTD project!

mGTD: GTD for Moleskine v1.0

Stefanos Karagos | December 20, 2006

Here I am again!
In-between of my testings, the new Lexus RX07h [the hybrid 4x4 car] and the new superb Sanyo Xacti HD1a HD camera, I finally found some time to work for THE project :-)

Well, it's time for a new version of GTD for Moleskine system. The paper system that you can use it with your Moleskine, everyday!

Mr Michael Ramm, one of the men behind the great Black Belt Productivity is the "godfather" of the new name of GTD for Moleskine system!
We had a great email exchange all these days and I have to admit that Mr Black Belt Productivity is a brilliant and very creative man!
Michael also gave me a lot of ideas and his contribution to this version was more than valuable!

Well the improvements from the first version are:
1. size has change so the color spread is the only thing that bleeds out of the Moleskine planner
2. Next Actions entries are 20 per page giving more space for writing
3. We made also some arrangement for "Some Day/maybe" and "Waiting for" fields
4. Now we have 3 different color versions: Orange, Red, Blue
5. Each page has crop marks for easy cutting
6. Each version has the main mGTD page and also 3 more back-page options: a. a daily scheduler, b. a contact names page and c. a landscape mindmap playground!

So now, you can have the mGTD sheet which fits better to your daily needs ;-)

If you want to have an idea about the mGTD system, take a look at the following images:

And if you are ready to use the mGTD v1.0 system here are the PDF files, ready for printing:
mGTD Orange
mGTD Red
mGTD Blue

Hmmmm, I know that shapes with rounded corners are very popular, so I promise that the next version will be a more Web2-like, with more improvements too ;-)

So use the current version, test it, comment about your experience of using this and... stay tunned!

PS: Special thanks to Diana for her help to the mGTD project!

GTD for Moleskine

Stefanos Karagos | December 15, 2006

Update:
The new improved version can be found here!

As you can see here, I'm a GTDer :-) This is the first point...
The other one is that before 3 or 4 years, I discovered the amazing Moleskine planners and notebooks [yes, i know! Shame on me :-)] and from then I consider myself a Moleskine ...evangelist.

Trying to integrate the GTD method into my Moleskine planner, I designed a "GTD" A5-sized sheet that helps me on my daily efforts to apply the GTD procedure.

The idea behind is, that if the Moleskine planner itself, is the "basket" where we collect the everyday "stuff", then the only thing we need is to have an easy reachable place for the lists of: Actions, Waiting for and Someday/Maybe entries.
Well, after this simple thought, I designed the "beta" version of my "GTD 4 Moleskine" A5-sized sheet, and I have to admit that it helps me a lot, everyday.

Here you can find in PDF format, the two layouts of the same sheet.
Personally I'm using the one with the yellow side-box because it is easily visible, when I have a lot of paper-stuff inserted in my Moleskine planner. [Yes i use my planner as a daily paper-cabinet too :-)]

I would like to have your helpful comments about my "GTD 4 Moleskine" sheet, in order to make it a real useful tool that we can use it with our beloved Moleskine planner [and why not, with notebooks too]

Any suggestion or idea will be more than welcome!
